Configuration Detection of Grounding Grid: Static Electric Field Based Nondestructive Technique

Grounding grid configuration which, is key to its fault diagnosis, changes continuously with the extension in a substation. Furthermore, older substations grounding configurations are unknown. Existing literature regarding detection mainly accounts for magnetic field that required gradient locate conductor. The of raw measurement substation vicinity enhances electromagnetic noise and distorts results. Therefore, this paper, we have developed new algorithm, Configuration Detection Grid (CDGG) based on static electric concept ordered pairs draw unknown grid. Unlike, practiced field, does not require gradient. maximum value indicates location connection between nodes verified by measuring circle. proposed algorithm also locates any diagonal conductor configuration. Mathematical reasoning simulation results illustrate our feasible
